T. Hardy, Cycle Agent, Shaftesbury Street, Newport, Mon.

I can't find any reference to a T Hardy cycle agent, however Frederick Walter Hardy is listed in the 1907 and 1911 Newport directories at 32 Shaftesbury Street. From the 1911 census we can see that he lived above the shop with his wife, Alice, and children Harold, Alice, Edward and a newly born unnamed baby.

The card was sent to advise a customer that an item was ready to be collected: "Dear Sir, Your lamp now thoroughly repaired. Shall be pleased if you will, when visiting Newport, fetch other lamp. Yours faithfully, F. Hardy."
